MFA and Trusted Devices

Notice for PRO Users

Members of the Public Research Organisations will no longer be able to follow the account management process as described on this page.
Please see The New HPC Portal for more details.

The Account Console lets you manage the authenticator devices you use for multi-factor authentication (MFA), and the active sessions linked to your REANNZ HPC account.

Prerequisite

Log in to the console

  1. Go to the Account Console.
  2. Select your affiliated institution on the Tuakiri login screen, and log in with your institutional account.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.

Manage authenticator devices

In the account security section of the console, you can:

  • add a second authenticator device, as a backup in case you lose or replace your phone,
  • remove an authenticator device you no longer use.

If you have lost your only authenticator device, you cannot log in to the console. See How Do I Reset My MFA? instead.

Review active sessions

The device activity section lists where your account is logged in. Sign out any session you do not recognise, or any session left open on a shared computer. Trusted devices are managed separately in my.nesi.org.nz.

Your name and email address come from your home institution through Tuakiri. If they are wrong, Contact our Support Team.
