Job Efficiency Review

Our support team may ask to review how efficiently your jobs run, particularly if your project has, or is asking for, a large compute allocation. Efficient jobs get you results sooner, and leave more room on the cluster for everyone. To ask for a review yourself, Contact our Support Team.

What happens in a review

We spend some time (typically up to 10-20 hours) looking at your software and workflows, and tell you what we find. A review ends in one of these outcomes:

  • your jobs already run efficiently,
  • we agree some improvements with you. We may be able to make quick wins within the review. For larger changes, we can help you apply for a Consultancy project.

What we need from you

  • Time to answer questions and share your code and data, by email or video meeting.
  • Some test cases that represent your work but run faster, for example a simulation with the same domain size but fewer time steps.
